About Me

My work is deeply influenced by my personal experiences. Before completing my Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute, I worked and studied as a wildlife biologist, and those years sparked and shaped my creative expression as an artist. I have worked in many mediums and styles, but most recently, I have been inspired by my move to the island of Maui in early 2018. Each day I go to the ocean to take footage and photos of sea turtles, manta rays, dolphins, humpback whales, and other island scenes and sea life. I feel extraordinarily lucky to have the good fortune to witness the majesty and brilliance of the island, the ocean, and its creatures, and to then have the joy of creating paintings where I hope to transmit the beauty of the beings that dwell there and the inspiring island landscapes.
